Cork City Council is warning that there will be a period of high astronomical Spring tides this Saturday morning, October 31 2020.

Following Met Eireann’s issuing of a Status Orange Wind Warning for Cork earlier today and the associated predicted tidal storm surge, there is now a risk that some roads & parking areas along low-lying quays in the city centre may suffer localised flooding during the morning high tide:

  • Morrison’s Quay
  • Fr Matthew Quay
  • Trinity Bridge
  • South Terrace
  • Union Quay,
  • Sharman Crawford Street
  • Wandesford Quay
  • Frenche’s Quay
  • Proby’s Quay
  • Crosses Green
  • Lavitt’s Quay
  • Kyrl’s Quay

Traffic restrictions may be in place at these locations during these times. High tide times of note are as follows:
