Press Release – Jump on board Bus Éireann Cork Jazz Festival late night buses!
Late night bus services will operate from Cork city to suburbs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departing at 01.00, 02.00 and 03.00
Jazz fans going to next Bank Holiday weekend’s fantastic festival line-up in Cork, can avail of several Bus Éireann late night services from the city centre to major suburbs and beyond.
These late night buses will run from the City Centre to Carrigaline, Ballincollig, Blarney and Midleton – up until 3am – over the course of the October Bank Holiday weekend from Friday, 26th to Sunday, 28th October next. Late night Bus Éireann services will operate from the city – at regular fare prices for single & return journeys – and depart at 01.00, 02.00 and 03.00. Customers can pay on board – or all pre-paid Leap Card and monthly tickets are also valid for journeys – along with free travel passes.
The Carrigaline service will depart from outside Brown Thomas on St Patrick’s Street and will serve Douglas East Village, and travel onwards via Maryborough Hill to Carrigaline. The Ballincollig service will depart from outside Debenhams and serves Bishopstown Road, Curraheen Road, Melbourne Road to Ballincollig. The Blarney service will depart from outside the Savoy cinema and will serve Blackpool, Churchfield, Farranree, Killeens and travel onward via Blarney to Cloghroe. The Midleton service will depart from outside Easons and serves Dillons Cross, Mayfield, Glanmire, Glounthaune, Carrigtwohill to Midleton. The line-up this year includes: Jenny Greene, Talus, The 4 of us, Brian Deady, The Blind Boys of Alabama and The Academic amongst many other major acts. Customers will be spoilt for choice with some top-class jazz acts, featuring electronica, funk, swing and blues varieties. The festival atmosphere is what most visitors, and locals alike, come to savour.
