Cork Kerry Community Healthcare in partnership with South/South West Hospital group are set to briefly extend the ‘Walk in’ vaccination clinics across Cork and Kerry this weekend. This comes following the exceptional turn-out experienced by our centres the previous weekend.  These clinic’s will be in addition to the ‘Walk-in’ clinic just announced for Mallow Vaccination Centre on Sunday 8thAugust.  These clinics offer an opportunity for anyone aged 16 and over who have not received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Priscilla Lynch, Acting Chief Officer, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare said:

We are thrilled to offer additional Walk-in clinics for first dose vaccines to the people of Cork and Kerry this coming weekend. We experienced  such a high volume of people from all age groups presenting  to our centres last weekend for their vaccine. This demand surpassed all expectations and we are extremely grateful to our staff in making these clinics such a success.

It’s encouraging for all our staff and volunteers to witness the success of their hard work at our Walk-in Clinics. We have made it more accessible for people, we’ve given them an opportunity to arrive for their vaccine at a time that suits them.

Shorter opening times will apply to the following participating centres:

Saturday August 7th

  • Kerry Sports Academy, Tralee from 9.15am to 11.00am
  • City Hall, Cork City from 10.00am to 4.00pm
  • Bantry Primary Care Centre, Bantry from 3.15pm to 4.30pm

Sunday August 8th

  • Killarney Sports & Leisure Complex, Killarney from 10.00am to 11.00am
  • Mallow GAA Club, Carrigoon, Mallow from 11.00am to 3.00pm
  • ClonakiltyGAA Club, Amahilla, Clonakilty from 1.00pm to 3.00pm

Anyone who wishes to receive a vaccine at the clinics must:

  • Be aged 16 or over.
    Be attending for their first dose, as it will not be possible to administer second doses.
  • Bring photographic ID.
  • Bring their PPS number (if you have one).

For those aged between 16-17 who do not have a passport, student ID, Public Services card, please bring with you a Birth certificate and proof of Personal Public Service number (PPSN). This can be in the form of a Child Benefit letter containing your PPSN information.
