Stobart Air, which operates flights under the Aer Lingus Regional brand has ceased trading, effective immediately.

All Aer Lingus Regional flights that are operated by Stobart Air have been cancelled, and the company are in the process of appointing a liquidator. According to RTE News, Aer Lingus are unable to say how many customers are affected but the company are focussing on helping them with rebooking and refund options. 

480 Staff Members have been informed of the decision, and Stobart Air apologised to its customers for the inconvenience of the short notice cancellations.

Aer Lingus Regional was established in 2010 when Aer Lingus looked at expanding its UK services with the help of former airline, Aer Arann. In 2014, Aer Arann re-branded to form Stobart Air.
