Gardaí observed a car driving dangerously at speed in the Popes Quay area, North Bridge Gate , Cork this morning Nov 30, 2019 at approximately 9.45am.

The car failed to stop and a managed pursuit by Gardaí ensued. The car was intercepted on Pope’ s Quay near the Cork Opera House and three males occupants of the car were arrested at scene.

One man in his 20s was taken to Gurranabraher Garda Station and two men (20s) were taken to the Bridewell Cork Garda Station. All three were detained under section 4 of the CJA 1984.

This car was the subject of an unauthorised taking two days prior to the incident this morning. No injuries were sustained and investigations are ongoing.
